How do I install Reader?
Reader isn't on the Play Store yet, so it installs as a direct APK. See the Download page for the checksum, signing fingerprint, and the unknown-sources steps for your Android version.
Why is there a daily translation limit?
Cloud AI translation costs us per request, so free-tier and trial use is subject to fair-use limits to keep the service sustainable for everyone. On-device translation has no such limit — it runs locally on your phone. Reader+ subscribers get unlimited cloud AI translation.
How do I report a bad translation?
Every translated page has a "Report translation" option. Reporting sends us the translated text, the page URL, and which model produced it, so we can review the output for quality and safety — see our Privacy page for exactly what's included in that report.
How do I cancel my Reader+ subscription?
Reader+ is billed and managed through Google Play. Open the Google Play Store app → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Reader+, and cancel from there. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
How do I request my data be deleted?
Most of what Reader stores — history, bookmarks, settings — lives only on your device; clearing it from Android Settings → Apps → Reader → Storage removes it immediately. To request deletion of the request metadata and entitlement records we hold server-side, email support@kepptic.com from the address associated with your purchase, if any.
Audio stops when I get a call or switch apps — is that normal?
Reader is designed for background playback with lock-screen and Bluetooth/earbud controls, so audio should keep playing when you switch apps. A phone call will pause it, same as any other audio app; playback resumes automatically once the call ends.
